AFWC Profile
The Alabama Federation of Women’s Clubs, (AFWC) is a statewide organization
dedicated to community improvement through volunteer service. Our members are your friends, neighbors,
co-workers, and acquaintances. We are
professional women, homemakers, elected officials, business owners, students,
retirees, wives, mothers, and single women.
We bring
members together and provide a networking system so that individual clubs may communicate
effectively and combine efforts to better serve communities all across Alabama.
In addition to the joys
of working with friends to improve the community, members grow through these activities, deepening their
talents and skills. Members become increasingly aware of the value of their contributions to
their local, state, and global communities. They come to appreciate the big picture of the small
world in which we live and the direct impact each individual can have.
Local clubs, AFWC, and GFWC develop outstanding programs and projects to help ensure that members grow in understanding and are enriched through their service.
